Invest Now, or Pay the High Price Later?

I was impressed!

The inspirational speaker gave a lively and insightful talk.  He is an accomplished person himself, a graduate of our university who became a lawyer at age 24. Now at 27, he is gainfully making a living and oozing with pleasant self-confidence and self-esteem.

This week is full of recognition programs for students who excel in academics and co-curricular.  Parents beamed as they climb up the stage to put medals on their children.

Occasions like this leave a tug in my heart.....pondering whether I failed or succeeded as a parent.

Success is relative to different people, but there is a big relationship between parenting and any success, be it in academic, relationships, career, family…

Because behind a successful person are his parents.

Parenting is not gained as a degree.
It is a lot of common sense, and do not always come naturally.

Those who do not want to pay a high price for their failure as parents later, should strive to know what it takes to be good parents now.
And practice them.
